

PLANTING AREAS (CBFMs)
The lands covered by the NGP are tenured lands of the public domain, including the following: forestlands, mangrove and protected areas, ancestral domains, civil and military reservations, urban areas under the greening plan of the LGUs, inactive and abandoned mine sites and other suitable lands identified by the DENR.
CBFMs or Community-Based Forest Management are organized efforts to work with communities in and near public forest lands to protect, rehabilitate, manage, conserve and utilize the resource. These CBFM sites have already been identified by the DENR as planting sites.
The program shall plant 1.5 billion trees covering about 1.5 million hectares by 2016. Here are the targets for the six years duration.
